Roblox Overhauls Child Accounts as Safety Pressure Mounts

Roblox will introduce two new account types for younger users in early June, the company announced, in its most significant restructuring of child-facing features since the platform became one of the world's dominant gaming environments. The new categories — Roblox Kids, for children aged five to eight, and Roblox Select, for those aged nine to fifteen — will assign users automatically based on age, verified either through parental confirmation or age-checking technology.
